Dog Town was custom created for the comfort and happiness of you and your pet. Our well-trained,caring staff will provide on-site supervision 24-hours per day, seven days per week, 365 days per year! Our clean and spacious cabins offer a climate controlled setting, comfortable raised beds, soothing music, televisions in every room and plenty of natural light. Our guest rooms are available in a variety of sizes to ensure the comfort of every guest.
For dogs who prefer a smaller, cozy space, we also have Doggie Dens to offer for over-night stays as well. The Doggie Den Room consists of 14 spacious Dog Dens of various sizes to make the perfect get-away for your dog!

Check-in / Check-out

Check-out time is by 11:00 AM. Dogs leaving after this time will be charged an additional $20 for the last day. Appointments are required for both check-in and check-out times, and must be scheduled during the following times:

Monday-Friday 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM
Saturday & Sunday: 
 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM & 4:00 PM - 6 PM

If you are unable to make it for your drop-off or pick-up appointment, kindly call the office and let us know.

Boarding charges are incurred for the first day’s stay regardless of what time the pet arrives. There will be no charge for the last day’s stay if the dog is picked up before 11:00 AM.

The office is closed for pick-ups and drop-offs on the following holidays: 4th of July, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day & New Years Day.

Even though the office is closed during major holidays, but we never stop caring for your pets as our staff is here 24/7. 
We do not require a minimum stay.

Please pre-bag your dogs food in meal-sized portions and label each bag with your dogs name. We cannot accept large bags of food!

Holiday Rates: (as of April 2, 2018)

In order to compensate our dedicated employees who work the holidays, our boarding rates will be increased by $10 per dog for all major holidays (Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, NY Eve, NY Day). 

Cancellation policy

We require 48 hours advanced notice if you wish to cancel your reservation or schedule an early pickup for your dog. If you do not give advanced notice in accordance with our cancellation policy you will be charged for 50% of the total reservation or remainder thereof.

Early returns creates a significant problem when we are not given notice prior to arrival. If bathing or grooming is scheduled, those services are usually done the day of departure. It takes time to pack up your pets belongings and create discharge paperwork that we may not have without prior notice.
And, when we are full and you return early without notice, it leaves a space which we may not be able to fill, creating vacancies and loss in revenue.
For these reasons, the owner will be required to pay for the entire reservation unless notification is given 48 hours prior to pre-arranged pick-up.

We thank you for your help and understanding in these matters.

Proof of Vaccinations

For all dogs coming to The Yellow Dog’s Barn for daycare and/or boarding, we require a veterinary certificate providing proof that your pet is current on required vaccinations at least seven days prior to visiting us. Dog must have current Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella and a negative fecal/giardia test and must be on some form of flea/tick preventative.  We also accept titers in lieu of vaccinations. If your veterinarian recommends that your dog not be vaccinated, please call us to discuss your pet’s special needs. We must have your pets application and proof of all vaccinations & fecal/giardia test results at least 2 days prior to boarding!

Flea/Tick Prevention

All pets will be checked for fleas and ticks upon arrival. If necessary, we will give your pet a bath using an all-natural flea shampoo and apply a topical medication at the owner’s expense.


A 50% deposit will be required for overnight reservations of any duration.

Boarding Rates as of Feb. 19, 2018

$40.00per night for 1 dog
$70.00 per night for 2 dogs staying in the same room
$90.00 per night for 3 dogs staying in the same room

For 2 or more dogs staying in separate rooms, each dog will be charged$35 per night
Additional dog rates only apply if dogs are in the same room or den

Extended Stay Discount:

For all guests staying more than 7 consecutive days, we offer a 10% discount.

Frequent Camper Discount Cards:
Buy 30 days and get 10% off the total cost. These days do not expire and do not have to be used on consecutive days.

Boarding& Daycare:

Additional $17 per day for full day/1st dog
Additional $14 per day for full day/2nd dog
Additional $10 per day for half day/1st dog
Additional $8 per day for half day/2nd dog

Boarding& Grooming:

Dogs staying 7 nights or less will receive a 10% discount on grooming fees.

Dogs staying more than 7 nights will receive a 25% discount on grooming fees.

Baths/grooming must be arranged at least 2 weeks prior to boarding during peak boarding times.
Free nail trims for stays of any length.

Day Boarding:

For pups who need a place to stay for the day but who do not care for the company of other dogs, we are happy to provide day boarding for the day or even for just a few hours if needed!
Half day: $19
Full day: $27


This place is amazing! I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and was visiting family in Northwood. Long story short, I ended up having to board my dad's dog and felt totally comfortable leaving him here after seeing what a doggie palace it is! Arguably nicer than many human hotels.
Now my dad brings his dog here regularly for grooming. It's been nearly two years and I still think about how awesome the Yellow Dog's Barn is. If I lived in the area I would be jealous of my dog if I sent him to doggie daycare here! M.R. Redwood City, CA

What should I bring for my dog's Stay?

Dog food, medicine and treats: 
Food:  Please measure out the amount of food that your dog will need while staying in Dog Town. The food should be supplied in pre-measured zip lock bag(s), labeled with your dog’s first and last name. (It’s always a good idea to pack an extra meal in case your return is delayed.) We cannot accept large bags or containers of food!
We have a refrigerator/freezer for raw or home cook meals!
Bowls: Unless your dog has a need for a slow-feeder, raised feeder or other special needs, please do not bring your own bowls.

Medication: All medications must be labeled with your dog’s first and last name, precise dosing and instructions.

Treats:  We fill our pockets and treat jars with all-natural treats (all USA made & sourced). So unless your dog has allergies, or you if you’d like to pack a special treat for your pet, you will not need to send along treats.

Bedding and toys:
Because we want to make your dog’s vacation with us as stress-free as possible, we encourage you to bring any of your pets favorite items from home. Dog beds, a blanket, pillow-case from your bed or a t-shirt will make his/her room more comfortable and familiar. Kongs and canine puzzle toys are always welcome. Please leave all raw hide chews, raw bones, rope and plush toys at home.We will do our best to return the items/toys to you when you pick up your pet. However, we cannot guarantee the condition if your pet chews.

Cancellation Policy

Our cancellation policy:

Daycare: It is important to note that a reserved spot at daycare may mean that we have had to turn other dogs away. Therefore, if you have reserved a spot for your dog on a particular day but then cannot attend daycare, you must call or email before 7:30am of that day, or you will be charged for the day

Grooming: If you are unable to make your appointment we ask that you give us at least 24 hour notice. We reserve the right to impose a 50% deposit on all future appointments if fair notice is not respected. The deposit will be forfeited if the appointment is missed. Missed appointments are very costly and affect not only our groomers, but also our clients waiting to have their pets groomed.
